Hiya,

You are truly an inspiration to all of us and have done so well with your weight loss and maintaining and all that training you do; we all sit in awe at what you have achieved!

You have had so much on your plate with all the ops no wonder the old demons tried to get hold of you again. By ‘confessing’ all, I gather that this is you getting things together again. Some sort of accountability perhaps? You are so brave and determined I have every faith that you are on the right road again. So good of you to take action now instead of thinking ‘I’ve blown it’. Just goes to prove you HAVE changed old habits and sticking to the new you!

How good is it to realise that you have achieved the goals that you have set yourself, another reason to keep focused and feel proud of yourself.

Let us know how the weekend goes, you seem in control so I sure it is going to be great!

You are one amazing woman!

Thanks Nimko.

"By ‘confessing’ all, I gather that this is you getting things together again. Some sort of accountability perhaps?"

I think it's more that I'd like to use this thread to add to the focus and that means you lot need to know where I'm starting from

Thought I'd update this thread. My losses for the last few weeks are:

19/04 - 1lbs
25/04 - 1.5lbs
03/05 - 3.5lbs
10/05 Target of -2lbs

I'm aiming to lose 25lbs, so far I'm 6lbs down and feeling very focussed and controlled, and happy that eating less and exercising is doing the trick. I'm trying to not get too annoyed with myself for the slipup, the past few months have been rather challenging. It's a learning time!

Hi all. Weigh in today. Please to report 10st 5.5lbs. Thats -1.5lbs less than my last WI on 3 May.

Feeling good.

I managed my first session at gym since the operation on my knee three weeks ago. Felt good but was amazed at how quickly I was out of breathe. I pushed through it though and managed a full 30 minutes on the cross trainer. I'll go back tomorrow and do the same.
(Glutton for punishment!!)

Well done you, thats fantastic.

Becareful with pushing your self, you only had the op 3 weeks ago, you dont want to cause any lasting injurys... did they say it was ok for you to go to the gym? and give you any advice on how much you should do etc?

Fitness will come in time... ive been going to the gym over a year now and i still get out of breath, with me it all depends what ive eaten the night before If i have eaten something heavy, i feel sluggish at the gym... if i eat something light the night before i can go for ever.

Just becareful & well done

I am only doing what the surgeon said I could - closed exercises - cross trainer, rowing, cycling. No running yet - but I can't wait. I was very active before the op so am only building back up to where I used to be aboout 8 weeks ago. Went to gym on Saturday and again today and did 45 mins on the cross trainer and it was a lot easier than Friday, so hopefully it won't take too long. Had a nightmare food day yeasterday - just felt like I used to, pre LL. Out of control and eating rubbish. Have had a good chat with myself today and feel back in the driving seat. So scary how quickly you can get back into bad habits.

Hi Girloutdoors,

You've been a real inspiration to me I'm running 5k next Sat which doesn't sound a lot but my feet haven't left the ground in years. I've gone back to the gym - which was great as no-one recognised me from my "fat days" and I'm going to take up canoeing. You have done a great job losing weight and getting really fit - this weight gain is short term and you will get on top of it in no time. Good for you for 'fessing up and stopping before it became a real problem:-)

It's never going to be "easy" for any of us around food in stress situations - and inactivity is obviously one of those for you!

Take care of yourself & Best of Luck!

You will be back where you want to be in no time!

Wow Kate
What an inspiration you are. 9st lost - WOW!! The very best of luck at the weekend. You will have a fantastic time. Have you done it before? I stood at the finish line this year as I have an injury and watched my daughter and every woman and girl cross over the line and the stories that every face held was incredible - tears of joy, smiles of joy, relief, happiness, sadness - the full gambit. To some people it was just another 5 km, but for others is was the furthest they have ever run and as such an amazing acheivement.
Go girl Go!!
