I am 30 years old and the heaviest I have ever been is 18 stone upon leaving University in July 2002. Noone quite believed this when I told them, I have repeatedly been told throughout my life when talking about my weight "But you're tall" as if that excuses it....or makes me feel better...

In around 2 years I got down to around 14 st 7 then fell pregnant with my daughter in November 2007. Even at 14 st 7 I was overweight and truth is I can't remember ever not being overweight so really want to try my best at acheiving a healthy BMI...

Now I am working part time having recently returned to work. LL is taking all of my disposible income but I am determind not to waste it. Must admit I am very scared about returning to food post-foundation as know of 2 people who have put on (but didn't attend RTM - perhaps that's the key)...

So I will try and keep this blog up-to-date. It does not start right at the beginning but somewhere at the beginning of week 2.

* Day 7 of Refreshers - 1 Week & 7lb down [ Show blog ]
After starting to eat a little on Thursday along the lines of LL Lite (which I knew a bit about as had a friend follow this plan at the same time as when I did foundation) I am pleased to find that I have lost 7lbs since starting on Monday.

I have decided to carry on with LL Lite - it is slightly less of a struggle than full abstinence. Today I had 2 medium dry-fried eggs plus a bowl of green beans...

* Day 5 of Refreshers [ Show blog ]
After a 3lb weight loss in the first 3 days I felt very poor last night, bad taste in the mouth (too much coffee?) and ravenous and unfortunately I lapsed. Today marks Day 3 of Refreshers. I have kept it up so far I do seem to be thinking about food an awful lot but know that this is natural....This was not helped the last 2 mornings since my walk to work takes me past 4 Indian and 2 Chinese 3 Chinese Restaurants as well as numerous Polish Delis and Bakeries!

* Day 2 of Refreshers [ Show blog ]
Day 2 - Kept on track yesterday which was day 1, just 4 packs. Had the 1st just before 7am and my belly was rumbling by 8am but am trying to fill up with plenty of water.

The Smoothie Maker I was bought for Christmas whips the shakes up a treat, they seem more substantial once they are blended - frothy like a proper shake

Today I start abstinence again. I started Total last April and after 10.5 weeks of foundation and then 4 weeks of RTM I hit 12 stone which was my ultimate aim, since this marked my losing a third of my body weight (6 st) since weighing in at 18st in 2002, and a 3st 11 loss on Lighterlife. * Week 15 - Week 5 of RTM [ Show blog ]
I have been on holiday hence the delay.

1.5 weeks between weigh-ins however only put on 2 lbs while I was away...LLC says this is more than likely due to having eating carbs while on holiday which would mean that my glycogen stores have gone on again.

I have kept the economy afloat over the last 2 weeks, I have certainly shopped bigtime...I am a size 10 at FatFace! Very exciting

Weihed in on Wednesday night and I had lost 2lbs. Pleased with this. I had eaten one or two things inadvertedly that I had not realise I should not eg. artichokes which should be introuduced in week 4 and olives which i love - but as these are not heavy in carbs this was not a problem.

* Week 11 - Start of RTM [ Show blog ]
After much deliberation I decided on Tuesday that I would join RTM. Having lost 3st 6lbs and missed several BBQs, I decided that I would embark upon RTM the next day (knew the group was on Wednesday as my friend who did Lite attends).

So far it's going well. On Saturday I attended a BBQ and ate - just chicken with salad, no carbs. The others ate apple crumble tart, jamaica ginger cake and strawberr...

Hi All.

I had my week 10 weigh-in last night and I had lost 3lbs. I now just find myself 6lbs short of my goal - this is 12st. When I get there I will have lost 6st in total since I was at my heaviest in May 2002.

I am now in a size 14 and some 12s on my bottom half. I did 2 car boot sales at the weekend to turn my old clothes and various junk into money!

I weighed in last night at 12st 9lbs, so that is a loss of 44lbs since starting almost 9 weeks ago. My BMI is now 24. My aim is to hit 12st and then go onto RTM - I will be joining a good friend of mine who has just completed LL Lite and is now on RTM too. Once I reach 12st I will officially be 33% lighter than I was upon leaving University in May 2002 and weighing 18st!

I had my week 8 weigh-in tonight. In actual fact Tuesday will mark 8 weeks exactly. Anyway, another 2 lbs off, which makes a total of 2 stone 12 lbs to date. My BMI is now 24.5 I am also the proud owner of a size 12 skirt!!! I never thought I would see the day that happened....well it has!

I went for my week 7 weigh-in last night and was pleased to see that I had lost another 5 lbs - my BMI is 24.7! The first time my BMI has been 'OK' in many many years - perhaps 15!! So far I have lost 2 st 10lbs. Just another 1st 4 if I go onto RTM at BMI 22.5 as I had planned...will wait and see how I feel nearer the time I guess.

I went for my week 5 weigh-in on Sunday night and had lost another 4 lbs - that is now 29 in all. I went to my week 4 weigh-in tonight and was pleased to find that I had lost 8lbs. I expected a good loss this week since only lost 1lbs last week following a lapse...plus my clothes seemed to get a lot looser over the last week.

Well tomorrow will mark day 20, one fifth of the way through my foundation journey. Today I have had just 3.5 food packs, since over-indulged on Monday when I had 5 foodpacks - I am paying for this now since I am hungry - not unusual for me!
